rock, hip-hop, and jazz songs.  Scholarships are available
for Network students, granting them summer or full-time
study at Berklee.  For the students enrolled at the 22 Berklee
City Music Network sites, their experiences are life changing.

The first Berklee scholarship recipient from the Richmond
Youth Jazz Guild, Spell will join 900 high school students
from all over the world to sharpen her skills in private

contemporary music styles.

Spell is a 17-year old trombone player who attends

music was through the study and practice of contemporary
music. For over 65 years, the college has evolved
constantly to reflect the state of the art of music and the
music business. With over a dozen performance and
nonperformance majors, a diverse and talented student
body representing over 70 countries, and a music industry
"who's who" of alumni, Berklee is the world's premier
learning lab for the music of today — and tomorrow.
